We are almost there !

Here are the latest news about SHARK REBELLION.

PRODUCTION IS FINISHED ! 

This is it ! We are so happy to announce you that our production is finally finished ! What a relief after that many months of hard work to make it happen. At the last minute we also had to face some production issues. 

We understand we are past our initial August target, but it was a necessary delay to make sure all products met our quality standard.

You won't believe us when we are saying that a swimwear is one of the most technical piece of textile to produce ! 

That wasn't the easiest months that we've had, but as soon as you will receive the products, that will be worth every efforts we've made.

Next step : shipping and fulfillment

We are preparing now the shipping of our production to our Swiss fulfillment center which will play as a warehouse and a dispatcher.

This is where you'll have to bear with us a little bit more.

Shipping time to our warehouse will take 12-15 days, and then there will be some setup to integrate this shipment to the fulfillment system. 

Once it's done, we'll start dispatching the items to you guys !

A quick view on our next project

We have several projects that are work in progress (including our Tech Suits). However there is one which is still an early stage prototype. We thought we'd give you a little look at it.

Meet our Nextgen DryBag. Codename: Cruiser. Made of heavy duty Tarpaulin 500D recycled PVC, 

We designed the bag initially to meet the demands of Swimming Clubs and elite swimmer who needed a large bag pack to carry all of their swimming gears to their competitions. 

As we didn't really like the current swimming bag packs style we decided to improve our Drybag to meet that demand.

As it turns out, it is not only perfect for your swimming pool stroll, it can also handle itself pretty well for any of your adventure. It will keep your stuff dry at all time as it is 100% waterproof. It can be carried as a bag pack and you won't have to worry about it, just like our swimwear, it is designed to last.

This is however only a prototype. We are not sure yet if we'll put it into production, but I'm curious, what do you think?

Finally ! Orders are coming soon.

Dear backers, this is it! 

After 6 months of hard work, reviews, and sweat we are approaching the end of our production. 

It hasn't been easy to say the least. 

We have been working tirelessly since April and the pandemic situation didn't help us, but we are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel !

We are so happy to announce you that we will start to ship you your SHARK REBELLION swimwear early October as we are expecting to receive our first production on 10.10.21 !

A little glimpse of the packaging you will receive ! made of 100% recycled paper of course!  

This is only the beginning.

Our first production was the most crucial step of our journey. From an idea to a prototype to a release product, the journey has been strewn with pitfalls, but we made it.  

Now we are ready for the next phase (and the certification of our Tech Suit in 2022 !).

Orders will be locked 29.08.21 ! + News and Updates

Hi everyone, 

Hope you are all well and sounds and that you are enjoying your well-deserved summer. 

Here are the last news and updates on our end. 

Orders will be locked on 29.08.21 !

Production is ongoing and we are getting everything done little by little.

All accessories and packaging have been produced, and as expected our most complex product (our swimwear) are still under production.

To that end, we will lock orders on backerkit on 29.08.21. Which means you won't be able to change your order once it has been locked. Now is the best time to add some Add-ons, accessories, or another swimwear while you still can :)!

Addresses will be locked as well, but don't worry, if you still want to change your address after the orders are locked, you can contact me at: [email protected] 

First deliveries expected mid-September / end-September

Our initial target for deliveries in August has been moved towards mid-September / end-September due to the logistic tasks that needed to be done before launching our production.  We will advise you once we start shipping. Thank you really much for your patience !

Shark Rebellion is exhibited in the Malta National Aquarium !

Did you know that the Shark Rebellion project started in Malta? This is after I was covered by plastic during my Rescue Diver exam that I was driven to find a solution against plastic pollution. 

The Malta National Aquarium contacted Shark Rebellion to showcase its product in the permanent "plastic cave", a permanent area of the Aquarium aimed to raise awareness and educate its visitor about plastic pollution in the ocean. 

Shark Rebellion is showcased as the possible solution and alternative to that issue.  

It is such an honor to be part of the Malta National Aquarium which is 100% aligned with our cause.

However, during my last day in Malta, I encountered the nightmare again near the shore of one of the most beautiful beach of the country.  The sea was cluttered by plastic, I could only take a little sample with me to give to the Malta National Aquarium.  

This just illustrate that we still need to continue pushing our efforts towards more awareness and education.

Our mission still continues.

Do you really need the L size ? + delivery date

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well!

You are 80% to have answered the survey and I thank you really much for your quick answers! Production has started and is on its way. 

However, there are a couple of items I would like to address.

Are you sure you need the L size? 

After reviewing the orders I realized that you were 20% to order the L size. 

The L size is our biggest size, so I wanted to make sure you really wanted to take choose this size.

We remind you that we recommend choosing the smaller size if in doubt because the fabric is smooth and stretch. 

For example, I am a guy, and I am 181 and 72Kg. While I feel perfectly fine with the ML size, the perfect size for me is M.

Select the L size only if :

• You are above 185cm and 93Kg for Men
• You are above 179cm and 75Kg for Women

Ok great, now I want to change my size 

Simply click on the Backerkit link you received to update your order. You can update your orders as long as they are not locked on my side (it will be locked around Mid-august).

When will my order be delivered? 

You are excited, as much as we do to see you with our Shark Rebellion swimwear! 

Production has started and is on its way. We are expecting 5-6 weeks of production if everything goes smoothly + 1 week for the shipping to you. Orders are expected to be delivered to you to by Mid/End September.

I know that is behind what I initially scheduled which was August. This is due to the fact we had to take time to implement our supply chain and fulfilment system properly. 

We had more orders than we expected so it was necessary to set things straight from the beginning. That way we can minimize the waste for this production as well as the future ones.

Size benchmark + changing your choices

I am still not sure which size would fit me   

We understand that it is difficult to choose without trying! 

To help you make your choice, here is a table of the Shark Rebellion guys and girls with their sizes to help you choose your size as best as you can.  

You can see in the table below that some swimmers are between 2 sizes (ex: ML - L), however, they all prefer to wear the smaller size if they are between 2 sizes.  

The Shark Rebellion swimwear has been designed for the active swimmer and is best worn fit.

In any case, if you happen to not like your size even after you receive your swimwear, you can send it back to us and we'll exchange it for free.

I already submitted my choice through Backerkit but now I want to change my choices, what can I do?  

No worries. You can change your choices, change the size, or purchase add-ons as long as the orders have not been locked on my side. Orders will be locked around beginning-mid August. In the meantime, you can change your orders as many times as you like. 

I will send anyway an update to warn you that the orders will be locked soon.

To change your choices, simply click on the Backerkit link again, and you will be able to update your choice.

Shipping to Switzerland has not been charged

Following the same rule, for the first backers who paid for the shipping through Backerkit, I confirm you that no credit card has been charged. In fact, no credit card will be charged for any additional purchase through Backerkit (including shipping charge) as long as the orders have not been locked.

Because I removed the shipping fees to Switzerland, your final orders will not count the shipping charges and therefore you will not be debited the 15.- CHF when the orders will be locked.

I have checked with Backerkit and they confirm that no credit card has been charged as of today.
